Protest Time: 3 pm – Concordia Hall Building
Put the theatricals back into Halloween! This October 31st has been
declared a hemispheric day of action, and students across the Caribbean,
North, Central, and South America will be taking action against the
Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA.) This dangerous trade deal has
been in the negotiating process since 1995. The massive protests at the
Summit of the Americas in Quebec City in April 2001 were successful at
raising public awareness about the dangers of the FTAA, but now their
bureaucrats and cronies are invading Quito, Ecuador to further their
oppressive corporate agenda.
Optative Theatrical Laboratories is inviting YOU to join the theatrical
protest. Joining the thousands of protesters, but playfully assuming the
role of the ghoulish undead, we will theatrically HAUNT various
corporate institutions along the march. |
